  • Co-chair

    Hey! I’m Anna, 4th year computer science major from Aalto with a background in design and hopefully a future with systemic climate action. As the co-chair of ASC, I want to do my part in facilitating discussion, building resilience and inspiring action around sustainability issues as well as fostering the sustainability community in Aalto and beyond. I’m also active in the Plant-Based Aalto student initiative launched by ASC in 2025. 

    Outside of studies and the club, I love learning, reading, and writing as well as performative arts such as dance, music and theatre.

    Hey! I’m Amy, and I am a first year in the Creative Sustainability BIZ program. I am originally from Germany and I moved to Finland specifically for my studies.

    As the Co-Chair of ASC, I want to bring the topic of Sustainability to more people outside of our little bubble - I hope to achieve this with organizing interdisciplinary events!

    Outside of studying, I am an avid sports person, busy with running, lifting or football! I also enjoy writing, reading and drawing - if I have the time.

    Hey you sustainability-minded awesome person! I’m Rasmus, a Creative Sustainability master’s student at Aalto University with a background in business and management. My areas of interest lie in how organizations can do cool stuff like engaging in sustainable transformations in ways that are practical, responsible and imaginative. As of late my studies and thesis work have taken me into questions surrounding AI, sustainability impacts, NGO grant funding, and how we as a society should (or perhaps more importantly should not) be using new technologies in different contexts.

    For me the jump into ASC felt like second nature; I wanted to help make sustainability feel more tangible in the every-day across the Aalto community. I’m always psyched to meet people here at Aalto and beyond from whom I can learn from. Together we can make discussions and events happen that turn big questions into something we can all work on together.

    Outside of studies you might catch me DJing, wheezing hard while trying to run, or at the gym with less-than stellar form (please help). If you see me at our events or anywhere else, pease come say hi as I’m always excited to meet new people to have exciting chats with! Until then, toodles!

    Hi,

    my name is Hessam and I love nature, delicious food, animals— especially cats!— and I strive to bring people together through building communities and learning about different perspectives. At Aalto, I study Creative Sustainability masters design track and I have a background in woodworking and marketing. You can check out my woodworking projects on instagram @boardflipwood

    My role as the communication and marketing lead involves organising events and connecting with people who want to make a difference in the world. I handle ASC’s social media channels and I love making fun stickers!

    Hi! I’m Iris and this year I am the community and membership lead at ASC. I am currently completing the Chemical Engineering Bachelor’s programme here at Aalto, and I am so excited to be working with ASC this year to connect my studies more deeply with my passion for a more sustainable tomorrow.     Hi everyone! My name is Gloria and this is my second year being on the board of ASC. I am in the business track of the Creative Sustainability master’s program at Aalto and have a bachelor’s degree in finance. I’m also the coordinator for Plant-Based Aalto, an initiative that came out of ASC. :)

    My goal is to spread awareness and inspire action around sustainability issues, within the Aalto community and beyond. Outside of my studies and the club, I like hiking, surfing (sadly not in Finland!), karate, and cooking and baking vegan recipes.     Greetings everyone! I’m Heidi, an Aalto student and an active volunteer within the Aalto community. I currently study both Complex Systems (SCI) and Creative Sustainability (BIZ), with the latter being more of my passion. With learnings from both study tracks, I am trying to make the world a better place!

    Outside of academics, I’m a vegan cooking enthusiast who enjoys baking (and especially eating!) sourdough bread at home. I also love to dance, go bouldering, chill in my hammock, and challenge myself with long hikes <3

    Hello everyone! I am a second year PhD student at Aalto in applied mathematics. At the end of my studies I engaged in environmental activism in different organisations, such as Scientist Rebellion and other related organisations in Norway and continued after moving to Finland.

    I organized talks, protests, panel discussions, petitions to companies and universities across the nordic countries.

    I have been collaborating with initiatives and NGOs in Finland to promote better climate policies in companies such as Nordea.

    In my free time, I enjoy climbing outside with friends!
